Social health involves one’s ability to form satisfying interpersonal relationships with others. It also relates to the ability to adapt comfortably to different social situations and act appropriately in a variety of settings. Our relationships can offer support during difficult times, therefore the skill of nurturing and building healthy relations with those around us is a crucial part of our journey to wellness. Research has identified the important role social interaction has on our mental health, but developing and maintaining human connections is not always easy.
At Northside Group we run multiple programs designed to build upon your social health, allowing you to foster and develop the ability to form satisfying interpersonal relationships, deal with conflict effectively, grow your social network with positivity and be able to balance your personal and social time.
Programs associated with this aspect of health are our art therapy sessions, group therapy sessions and the continued interaction and collaboration between patients in activities and during their daily routine.
