Dr Matthew Hannon

MBBS BPsych (Hons) FRANZCP Cert Forensic Psych

Dr Hannon provides assessment and treatment services for Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders, Drug and Alcohol issues, Psychotic disorders and Personality Disorders. He has a specialisation in Youth Mental Health. Youth and adult patients are seen primarily on an outpatient basis, although where required, an inpatient service is offered at the Northside Group St Leonards, where Dr Hannon is a Visiting Psychiatrist.

Dr Hannon is a consultant psychiatrist within specialist qualifications General Adult and Forensic Psychiatry. He consults to the Young Adult Program and General Mental Health Program at Northside Clinic St Leonards.

Medicolegal Services

Dr Hannon offers forensic risk assessments and court reports. Assessments in criminal and civil settings are offered. Dr Hannon has a special interest in assessments for adults in contact with the justice system and where concerns around legal capacity occur.

About Dr Hannon

Dr Hannon is a medical doctor, and completed his medical training at the University of Queensland. He is Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.  In addition to private psychiatric practice, Dr Hannon holds a Staff Specialist position at NSW Health.
