Northside Group Ethics Committee
The Northside Group Ethics Committee was established in 1990 and is registered with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), thus complying with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research 2007.
The Northside Group has professorial links with University of Sydney and University of New South Wales, and is supportive of research projects carried out across the Northside Group that investigate and innovate in areas relating to the care and treatment of our patients.
The role of the Northside Group Ethics Committee is to consider the ethical implications of all research protocols involving human subjects, being conducted under the auspices of the hospital. Proposals may relate to current and former patients across Northside Group facilities, their carers and relatives, and staff working across the Group. The committee is chaired by Professor Philip Mitchell.
The Northside Group Ethics Committee meets quarterly, with the deadline for protocol submissions one month prior to each meeting.

All enquiries regarding the submission of research protocols are to be made to Anthea Sutton, Committee Secretary: email@example.com
