Admission Service: Pre Admission
Pre Admission
The Easy Access Admissions Coordinators are experienced mental health clinicians who are available to discuss your particular needs and can advise you of the treatment options available. They can be contacted on 02 9433 3555, seven days a week.
It is necessary for the Easy Access Admissions staff to speak to each patient before they are booked for admission to Northside as the Clinic is a voluntary facility and certain exclusion criteria may apply. They can also check your health insurance and advise you of any out of pocket expenses. If you do not have health insurance they will be able to advise you of the cost.
Before coming in to the Clinic you will need a referral from your GP or psychiatrist, if you have one.
Once you have been given a date for Admission to the Clinic you may find it convenient to print and complete the necessary paperwork prior to your admission. We have created an Admission Checklist with suggested items to bring. The following documents will need to be completed:
You will feel most comfortable wearing casual clothing around the Clinic during the day and will also require night attire, toiletries and other personal items. For safety and insurance purposes, covered shoes must be worn at all times and, if planning to use the gymnasium, you’ll need to bring joggers and medical clearance from your doctor may be required.
Please do not bring valuables such as a large amount of money, jewellery or expensive appliances.
You might like to bring a personal stereo or small radio/cassette player with headphones. Please clearly label your belongings. A television is available for viewing in each of the lounge rooms or one can be hired for use during your stay.
Bring with you any medications that you are prescribed.
